A quieter village than St. Agnes but well served by a village primary school, various shops and a popular hostelry 'The Old School House'. There is also community pride in the village. This is evident in the creation of the millennium garden which was designed for the enjoyment of both young and old.

For activity Mount Hawke has a popular local cricket club. However, one of the biggest attractions is the sk8 indoor skateboard park, one of the leading skateboard parks in the whole of the UK. Being only 2 miles from St. Agnes, Mount Hawke is within easy reach of this busier village, and offers a good compromise between that and the more secluded areas.
